Mountaineer Swim Team Takes 1st Place in 1st Meet

Heritage/William Blount swim teams had a strong first place finish last night against Gatlinburg-Pittman and Alcoa High School. Heritage took first place with 189 points,  Alcoa 86, and Gatlinburg-Pittman 84. There were 135 high school teams competing in this weekend’s Tennessee High School State Swimming and Diving Championships. Schools ranged from as far as Memphis University School, Ravenwood  in Middle Tennessee, and the Baylor School in Chattanooga. There were 896 total high school athletes–434 males and 462 females.
